Really?!?!

Can you believe that this month is over already? I know I can't. 

I do know that I'm happy to see March, it means that Spring is around the corner and I'm that much closer to my Denver vacation.

1. Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by many things and people. My biggest inspiration right now is this little guy

Booges is so full of life and personality. Everything I do (and want to do) is for him.

2. What is your favorite season and why?

This is not hard at all, I don't even have to think about it. I love Fall! If I could live some where were it Fall all year long, I'd be so happy.

I love the colors, the smells, the cool morning air, cozy sweaters and warm scarves,

boots (and flip flops on warm fall days), apple spiced cider, pumpkins... the list goes on and on.

3. What are you looking most forward to this year?

I'm looking forward to a few celebrations...

Booges is turning 1!

One of my best friends will be welcoming a new baby, who will join the 2 beautiful girls she already has

I can't wait for my trip to Denver later this month, well really I can't wait for all the trips I have planned for Denver this year

4. If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about?

When I was little I wanted to write a children's book, and I still do. I'm not sure what I would want it to be about.. that idea changes all the time

(I guess that's why I haven't started it yet)

5. What is your greatest passion?

I have a deep passion for love... in so many ways. I'm not going to step up on my soap box and tell you about my passion of love (cause it never ends).

I will tell you to love what you do, and do what you love.

I also have a passion for beads, make-up and skincare.

6. If you could change one thing about your life or yourself, what would it be?

I wouldn't change a thing. I love who I've become and every experance I've lived has made me.

7. Lastly, what is your favorite novel?

I love to read, and lately I just can't find the time to sit down and enjoy a good book. I hope that day will come again soon. So in the meantime, I've been reading books that I've read before, right now I'm reading 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings'.

Which does so happen to be one of my favorites.

I love sharing new things about myself with all of you sweet ladies, and I love learning new things about you.

My love affair with Etsy... week 2 {necklaces}

Happy Sunday!

This weekend went by so fast, but yet the days were so long.

Does that even make sense?

This is the first weekend in 9 months that Mr Booges and I spent together... alone.

The Man went snow boarding with his friends. I'm glad he was able to go, but next time I'll think twice about saying it's ok, HA.

Let me tell you, when I say my days were long... they were long.

Booges woke up every 2-3 hours just whining (that's something he hasn't done in months).

Sleep for me this weekend didn't exist. So I'm happy The Man will be back in a few hours so Mama can finally relax.

Now... on to more important matters,

 my new obsession... my love affair...

This weeks post is all about necklaces. I remember back in the day just months ago I wouldn't even wear necklaces. I didn't like the way it felt with they rubbed against my skin, weird I know.

When Booges was born, and I read every parenting magazine known to man, I kept seeing personalized necklaces and fell in love, so I bought one. I was hooked... the weirdness of not wanting to wear necklaces had disappeared.

 The Man bought me 3 new (really cool and funky) necklaces for Christmas, which I love, but want something for everyday, so I turned to Etsy. 

Here are some of my favorites.

I just love the simplicity of this one. It's so gorgeous and I love the organic feel. I like that the pendant hangs on a longer chain, which makes it good for layering. And of course it's in a beautiful shade of my favorite color.

Vintage Soft Yellow Rose Necklace

 

I love that this necklace screams both modern and vintage.

I can see it being worn with a dressing top (like pictured above) and a v-neck tee shirt, jeans and sandals.

what i'm loving wednesday

YAY for Wednesday... we are that much closer to the Weekend!

I'm loving that I just purchased a plane ticket... I can't wait. My sweet Booges and I are going to visit my family in Denver.

I'm loving that a sweet lady at my brother's restaurant blessed my baby with $20

~my brother is a server at a {fancy} restaurant in Denver, and a lady came in by herself to have lunch. My brother started talking to her about having a baby family member out of town. When she left, she laid $20 on the table with a note that said, 'please see to it that this gets to your nephew'.

I'm loving that I bet all of The Man's high scores on Angry Birds.

I didn't understand the Angey Birds craze... until I downloaded it on the iPad... I'm Now Addicted.

What I'm Loving Wednsday

I can't believe it's Wednesday already, where has this week gone?

1.I'm loving my Valentine's gift from The Man... a lovely iPad.

2. I'm loving that I'll be purchasing airline tickets for Booges and myself to go to Denver next month...I can't wait to spend time with my family and take my iPad.

Just a quick Sunday evening Hello...

From sink to tub

My sweet Booges has graduated... he had his first 'BIG BOY' bath in the tub this evening and LOVE IT!! He was able to slash all about with me out holding him back.

Never mind the tub toys... I think he was just happy not being in the kitchen sink

 (I was happy that I didn't have 500 gallons of water on the counter and floor)

We did have a little mishap, but really what kid doesn't pee in the tub during bath time?

Of course I took pictures and I'll post a few as soon as I find my USB cord.

ALSO........... I haven't forgotten to pass along the blog awards... I know I promised I would do it Saturday, but with a baby, some things just don't go my way.

SO I'm not going to promise... but will shot for tomorrow.

I have some WONDERFUL Etsy finds I want to share with you... tomorrow as well.

 I'm a self proclaimed Etsy addict. But really, can you blame me?

I recently posted 10 random facts about me... I'm sure I can come up with 7 more

(I'm a pretty random person)

1. I collect rocks... from beaches, lakes, parks... or just walking down the street. If it catches my eye, it comes home with my and lives in my garden, or potted plants.

2. I don't like writing with a pen if it's missing the top... weird, I know. If I come across a pen laying around with a missing top, in the trash it goes.

3. I hate Twinkies... really anything that has a self life of 25 or so years, just can't be trusted. Besides, they aren't even good.

4. I have read Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings about 4 times... I just started it again last night. I love this book.

5. Charlotte's Web was my favorite book and movie and a child... and I own them both, classics!

6. I color the children's menu's at restaurants... really, what else am I going to do when The Man is watching the tv (conveniently) behind me?

7. I brush my teeth 4 to 5 times a day, and floss at least once a day... I'm a little OCD when it comes to oral hygiene.

I PROMISE I will pass these awards on... later today.

I miss my Booges, and need to go get him from his Granny's house.

I made it... and didn't think I would {it's was hard}

Hello Lovely Friends

Happy Saturday!

I have missed all of you.. my bloggy friends all week. The Man has been working on a paper for school and has lived behind our laptop for the last couple days. 

I'm so happy it's done!!

 (I had to finally help him)

Amongst all of Booges toys, these books have been scattered on the living room floor

REALLY?!?!?!!!

As if becoming a Electrician isn't hard enough,

 you have to carry these books back and forth from home and school and home again everyday.

 Let me tell ya... They are HEAVY!

No wonder The Man always is saying his back hurts

(HA! I'm still not rubbing it.................. just kidding).

Helping him with his paper has taught me more about a 100 AMP Service and the requirements needed to get a permit to have it installed then I would like to know.

OK, you mean to tell me that there is more behind electricity then just plugging something in and knowing it going to work?

(I'm not that naive, but this stuff is more complex then I thought)

Being away from all of you this week was hard, but I made it!

The day I found out I was pregnant I felt every emotion possible. Most of all I was overjoyed, in love with this little person growing inside me.

 I started a journal of letters, feelings, thoughts... I wrote anything and everything.
